Sourcing Analyst

Remote — North America preferred · Full-time · Competitive base plus performance compensation tied to closed mandates

The seat

Sable Ridge is hiring a Sourcing Analyst to build the firm’s research and outreach engine for franchise systems and buying groups. This is a foundational seat. The person who fills it will define how Sable Ridge identifies, qualifies, and engages prospective clients across the firm’s two primary verticals.

The work is concrete: extract data from Franchise Disclosure Documents to map multi-unit franchisee populations, build inventories of buying-group memberships across B2B distribution categories, identify operators positioned for transition based on tenure and unit-count signals, and run structured outreach sequences that turn qualified prospects into early-stage advisor conversations. We have the tooling (Apollo, Clay, Pipedrive, Smartlead, Instantly) and the playbooks. We need a person who can run them with discipline and improve them as we learn.

Who fits

This is a role for someone who is genuinely interested in the obscure corners of the lower middle market. Franchise systems and buying groups are not glamorous. The work involves long hours of FDD analysis, careful list-building, and patient outreach to operators who are years away from transacting. The compounding payoff is significant for the right person — every system you map and every relationship you develop persists indefinitely in the firm’s deal pipeline — but the work itself is unglamorous. We are looking for someone who finds the obscurity itself interesting.

What we expect:

What you would do in the first ninety days

Build a complete inventory of franchise systems with significant multi-unit operator populations, segmented by concept maturity and consolidation activity. Stand up the buying-group roster mapping for our priority distribution categories. Run two to three structured outreach campaigns to qualified populations and hand off warm conversations to senior team members. Contribute to at least one piece of published research that emerges from your sourcing work.

How we work together

You will work directly with the firm’s leadership on sourcing strategy and with senior team members on warm-handoff conversations. Most of our team operates remotely, with quarterly in-person meetings for strategy and team-building. We bias heavily toward written communication, and we expect everyone on the team to be a strong written communicator.

The role is full-time. Compensation is competitive base salary plus performance compensation tied to closed mandates that originated from your sourcing work. Equity participation in the firm is on the table for the right candidate over time.
